Marsh Hawk

Elongated ebony
fingers lift and
stir over golden
feathered fronds,
while in a
ballet-like trance,
you float and turn,
as twisted talons
merge together
before once again
you ascend
alone to dance
above the marsh.

  1. The words were inspired by watching the spectacular food passes between male and female Marsh Harriers @ RSPB Blacktoft Sands,E Yorks.
