A Pennine Day.

Hen Cloud
a misted shroud,
one moment clear
another to fear.

Swirling snow
which way to blow,
dusting heather,
dropping on feather.

Huddled fowl
wind around howls,
waters shift,
crystals drift.

Clouds reveal
an edge surreal
as a Pennine day
fades away
.

Two delightful additions to your writing Blog, Ruth! Both a joy to read. Very dramatic verse of the Pennines and your 'Spring Afternoon' so typifies the changes rapidly occuring in this Spring season! A few dry and warmer days will soon bring much colour in the hedgerows and plenty of wildlife activity! Exciting!
